South African Paralympic swimmer Natalie du Toit may not make it
for the 2012 London Paralympic Games 2012 .
Natalie du Toit (Olympic swimmer) may not make it for the 2012 London Paralympic Games, reports one of South Africans daily newspapers www.iol.co.za.
The paper explains how and why she is disqualified and she might appear to have not explained herself, especially to her fans and future investors.
How can we as PRP’s come up with a better suggestion of a platform where she can communicate more effective with her fan base?
v Well I have an answer for that; please do assist me if I’m wrong.
Natalie du Toit can use a blog to have an effective communication with the public.
A blog is a personal website or web page on which an individual records opinions, links to other sites, etc. on a regular basis www.oxforddictionaries.com .

She does owe her fans an explanation because they support her therefore they have the right to know. Communication is key unless she wants to be left without any fans.
ReplyDeleteshe has the right not to explain herself if she feels like.
ReplyDeleteIf you say she has no right to explain herself what impact will that have on her image?
DeleteShe has fans so she should explain herself
Deletei think she needs to explain to her fans because they are on her side,if she does not do it the fans will keep wondering if she deserves their loyalty.
ReplyDeleteShe is a public figure people she needsto explain herself... a lot of young people look up to her as an individual... am not a prp but a marketing student which i know we go hand in hand.. Tumi your right she should start a blog and also create a facebook page where people will write there views on what they really think and so on...
ReplyDeleteI agree with siya... she needs to explain herself. a blog will be a platform which she can reach her fans. Twiiter aswell and facebook... she has a lot of options hey. what happened to her?
ReplyDeleteDu Toit was stripped of her title for “unsporting behaviour” after she was deemed by referee Peter Pienaar to have blocked the path of fellow competitor Michelle Weber in a tight finish at Inanda Dam.
DeleteNot just a blog some people are interested in some of the social networking site and we have to realise not everyone access internet. I think her manager need to arrande a press conference to address the people.
ReplyDeleteA press release is a good idea cause it can also be screened life during pick hours of tv.Everyone else besides those with access to the internet can get a chance to hear all the reasons for the actions taken against and hear her reactions towards those actions.
DeleteShe should explain where the problem lies otherwise people will keep on assuming where the problem lies.
ReplyDeleteshe needs good pr
ReplyDeleteShe can blog yes but those that don't have access to such won't comprehend, release a press release and a spread on the papers.
ReplyDeleteShe is not state property and therefore nobody owns her and she does have the right to her privacy. She does reserve the right not to share personal information about herself when she doesn't want to.
ReplyDeletethe most dangerous thing to do is to say nothing as that will lead to false assumptions, A good public relations practitioner is necessary to not only reinforce why she did not explain herself but to also create a positive image with the media and fans a whole
